Sukhna lake is one of the best tourist place in Chandigarh, it is one of the best place to visit. It is a manmade lake spreading over an area of about 3 square km. Sukhna lake is situated in one corner of the city, it is very close to the nature one can enjoy the beauty of nature here. This Lake is a beautiful place for peaceful walking, jogging watching migratory birds, sun soaking, beautiful view, people also enjoy boating, rowing and Shikara riding and camel riding at this place, Buddha Park at far end of this lake is also a peaceful place. Lots of fun games for children. lots of benches are placed at many places, visitors also enjoy sitting at different places to feel the beauty of nature. No tour of Chandigarh can said to be completed without the visit of this Lake.

Best time to visit this lake is between the months of October to March, however every evening is a beautiful evening for those who comes here. Their is no entery fee for Sukhna Lake. Lake timing is 5 am to 9 pm, parking on weekends might be challenging one, so for tourists it is better to reach over there before 4.30.
